I’ve seen so many life hacks lately, the majority of which seem ludicrous to me. Take for instance the suggestion to use packaged popcorn on the wall as a fire/smoke alarm…? Seriously, I hope that hack was a joke. Or what about the suggestion to add nonsense words onto your essay in white so that you can up the word count and fool your teacher…! Again, really?
I was beginning to dislike the term. Then I discovered a set of 25 Clever Life Hacks To Make Life A Little Easier on One Good Thing by Jillee. In fact, I was so enamored with her post that I had to share a few of my favorites here. Check out her post for photos of the hack in action as well as 22 others.
If you haven’t guessed it yet, today’s letter of the day is:
for Life Hacks
Essential Oil & Toilet Paper
1. Put a few drops of your favorite smelling essential oil on the inside of your toilet paper roll. When you tug on the toilet paper, out will waft a soothing scent.
Paper Clips & Packing Tape
2. Secure the end of a roll of transparent tape or packaging tape with a paper clip. The next time you use the tape, you won’t spend 5 minutes of frustration trying to find the end or have it split on you as you pull it up off the roll.
Onion & Potato Peeler
3. Ever want thinly sliced onions? Perhaps you want to put some on a hamburger, a sub, in a salad or sauteed with some potatoes – hungry yet? 🙂 Anyway, if you use a potato peeler on a halved onion, you’ll get those nice little slivers.
