Today, I let my girls go with friends on an excursion for the day.
It’s the first time they’ve traveled without me. Other than a couple of family sleep-overs, they are always by my side.
I feel adrift here. I little sad, contemplative, reflective.
At times like this, I prefer to read, not write. However, without kids in the house, I have no excuse not to write. How to mesh the two – reading and writing? I love words and their meanings. And so the birth of this post.
