It’s Summer Time! For the month July, instead of offering a solitary book review, I’m sharing a collection of the Top 10 Editor’s Picks for Summer Reading for ages 3 to 5. Is big brother or sister involved in a Summer Reading program? You don’t have to leave your preschooler out!
Develop a love of reading by making a list of fun age appropriate books especially for them. Then invite them to read along, identifying keywords as you read together. You can even come up with reward charts, stickers, toys, and free books for successful reading.
Not sure where to get started in picking out a summer reading list? I’ve got you covered! You can build literacy skills even on the road and on vacation. Some of these books highlight fun characters enjoying their own vacations: visiting grandma, swimming, playing at the beach.
